Description
Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs are golden, gooey, and sugar-coated mini treats that taste like handheld apple pies. Made with biscuit dough and warm spiced apple filling, these are the perfect shortcut dessert for weeknights, fall gatherings, or holiday snacking. Ready in under 20 minutes using your air fryer!
Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or crescent rolls
- 1 cup apple pie filling (chopped finely)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- Optional: caramel drizzle, powdered sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer: Set it to 350°F and let it heat while you prep.
- Prepare the dough: Flatten each biscuit or crescent dough round. Place a spoonful of apple pie filling in the center.
- Seal the bombs: Fold the dough around the filling and pinch to seal into a ball.
- Air fry: Place bombs in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each. Air fry for 8–10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Coat with cinnamon sugar: Immediately brush with melted butter and roll in a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy warm, optionally drizzled with caramel or dusted with powdered sugar.
Notes
Be sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket—cook in batches if needed. For a healthier version, use low-sugar apple filling or whole wheat dough. If your filling is very juicy, drain slightly to avoid soggy centers.
