Description

Perfectly cooked, flaky salmon from frozen in minutes using your air fryer! A quick and healthy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • Frozen salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless, your preference)
  • Salt (I use sea or kosher salt)
  • Black pepper (freshly ground is best!)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)
  • You can use these if you want: garlic powder (onion powder, paprika, or your favorite dried herbs. (I sometimes sprinkle a little garlic powder on mine for extra flavor.))

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare Salmon: Remove the frozen salmon fillets from their packaging. Frozen salmon fillets on a plate, ready to be cooked in an air fryer.
  3. Season: Lightly brush or spray the salmon with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (or your preferred seasonings). Fresh salmon fillets seasoned with salt and pepper, ready for cooking.
  4. Air Fry: Place the seasoned salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  5. Cook: Air fry for 10-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The exact cooking time will depend on the thickness of the fillets. Check for doneness at the shorter end of the time range. Seasoned frozen salmon fillets being placed in an air fryer basket.
  6. Serve: Carefully remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve immediately. Garnish with lemon wedges or fresh herbs, if desired.
