Description
This Juicy Garlic Butter Chicken Breast recipe delivers seared golden chicken breasts in a buttery garlic sauce—ready in under 30 minutes. It’s a perfect protein-packed main dish for busy weeknights or elegant dinners alike.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Pat chicken breasts dry. Pound to even thickness if needed. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sear for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover loosely.
- Make the Garlic Butter: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low. Add remaining butter and minced garlic. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Finish and Serve: Return chicken to skillet, spoon garlic butter over top. Simmer 1–2 minutes to warm through. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
For extra tenderness, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and olive oil 30 minutes prior. Use a meat thermometer to ensure doneness (165°F/74°C). Pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.
